4th SUNDAY OF ADVENT – Peace

December 17th, 2011 § 0 comments § permalink

This Sunday precedes the Christ birthday as well. We have only one week to welcome Jesus Christ in our midst at Christmas. Today’s gospel gives us the example of Mary – the Mother of God. She is the perfect person prepared by God for his Son. But today we should follow her life in our own daily lives. We have to be the Mothers of Christ for our neighbors. This is the task for us on the coming of our Lord. Mary does not seek her own advancement , but rather places herself at the disposition of God saying that she is God’s handmaid. She answers God’s call with great generosity even though she does not yet fully understand His message.

The Holy Mass is the place where Jesus Christ is born for us on the altar of the Word and on the altar of the Eucharist. We have to be the Mothers of Christ to born – to make disciples of Christ for his Holy Church today.

3rd SUNDAY OF ADVENT – Joy

December 10th, 2011 § 0 comments § permalink

This Sunday continues the example of John the Baptist from last Sunday. It gives us the example not only for searching in our life for God, but mainly to recognize the Lord Jesus in our own lives and to make firm attitude of Christian within us.

For us it is very important to see the view of the prophet John, because he gave the testimony – witnessing to the fact that Jesus is the Messiah and that he, John, is not. John considered his role as one of preparing the way of the Lord, making straight the path through a conversion of hearts. And our role is the same today, to be The John the Baptist for others in our surroundings.

The Eucharist is the place where we recognize Jesus as our Messiah who is among us and we identify ourselves as Christians – his followers. We take Jesus to our lives and we go to the people who do not recognize him to share with them our own faith.

2nd SUNDAY OF ADVENT – Love

December 3rd, 2011 § 0 comments § permalink

Today’s Sunday offers us the example of John the Baptist for pointing on Jesus Christ to others around us. Our today’s situation is different: we don’t looking for God, more God is looking for us in our world. He calls us each time to change our hearts, especially in this Advent season and in this year. We are call to prepare the ways for the Lord, we have to make them straight, without potholes – that’s mean – we have to live according to the Ten Commandments and to the Commandment of Love. But God is very honest to us and He respects us and our doing. He is very gentle about our conscience and our free will.

The Eucharist is the place where we meet Jesus – it is like the desert where they live the godly people as St. John the Baptist. In this place when we go on in the prayer’s silence we can let God to find us in our private lives.

1st SUNDAY OF ADVENT – Hope

November 26th, 2011 § 0 comments § permalink

What is all about Advent that makes this time so special? Preparation for Christmas is one thing, but that’s not all. Advent gives us a vision of our lives as Christians. Advent shows us the possibilities of our life.

Life is a continuous journey through time. A journey in cycles, like waves of the ocean, tides high and low and high again, on and on. Church liturgy clearly shows such a journey in faith, with a full cycle
covering three years and then it is repeated. Each liturgical year takes a look at seasons and scripture from different point of view; this year we will see the point of St. Mark – very short and very exactly.

This Liturgical year we will have in our mind the thought: Here I Am To Worship. Doing that we want to remember that every place especially the church is good to be there and to praise the Lord.
