The Ordinary Time is for us the simple guidance of the daily moments of our lives.
This Sunday gives us the example of being simply the good friend to our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is very easy to be the anonymous brother or sister to someone. It is very difficult to be the real friend, because the best friend is the person who knows you and helps you in the time of need.
Today we are going to Church for the Eucharist to meet Jesus who heals our body and soul. But we need the real friends who will introduce us to Jesus and who will carry us before his face. Because we are sick before God /as a paralyzed man from today’s gospel – we have sinned. And we need someone who will carry us to Jesus and who will surmount (przezwyciezac) great obstacles on our way to Jesus. We need the healing grace of God like air for life. And this is the main function of the community of the Church to bring us to Jesus. We can help each other in this duty very well…but we only have to want.

The Ordinary Time is for us the simple guidance of the daily moments of our lives.
Next Tuesday we will celebrate the feast of love – St. Valentine’s day; we will send cards and give presents to the persons whom we love.
This Sunday gives us the example of difficult behavior of Jesus to the very sick person. He met the leper – the person who was sick with the disease, which was defined as the sickness of the unclean before the God and he cured this person with love and he sent him to the priest to prove his cleanliness.
Today we are going to Church for the Eucharist. It is like the first step of the leper toward Jesus. We are unclean before God because, we have sinned. And he will clean us from our spiritual diseases. Now we have to regard ourselves as a sin person and ask God: “If you wish, you can make me clean.” And response of Christ during today’s Mass will be: “I do will it. Be made clean”.

The Ordinary Time which is our time in the salvation history of the Church gives us the short lessons of our Christian daily lives. Our example for being the good Christian is simply our master Jesus Christ. And we have to understand his mission and his duties; to do the same in our daily lives. Jesus proclaimed the Good News of the Kingdom of God, he healed the physical diseases and spiritual illnesses and first of all he prayed.
The Eucharist is the proclamation of the Gospel, it is the great healing of our illnesses, it is also the communion with Christ and it is first of all the biggest prayer. The Eucharist is the daily life of Christ in the pill and also it is the Christian life in the same pill, but we have to remember that this life is not finish only on the weekly Mass. The Christian life is the daily duties of Christ in the areas of our activity. We have to be the real Christ in our life around us and we have to prove our life simply by the participation in the Eucharist.

In the ordinary period of our lives we have to remember about the main source and the author of our existence and look more closely on Jesus Christ as our Super Star. We really worship him in the Mass, we praise Him in every our prayer and we see Him doing the marvelous things when we practice the commandment of love in our daily lives. Jesus astonishes us when we will hear Him, because He has the authority and the power above everything – because He is God. He is changing our lives for good when we give Him our own permission to do that.
The Eucharist is the time when we hear the Gospel of Jesus and we participate in the biggest miracle on the world – changing the bread in the body of Christ, and changing the wine in his blood, and after this we go on to our own homes, jobs and rest areas to proclaim the Good News with the authority of the divine teacher.

Reflections
What are some of my evil spots that Jesus needs to heal with his words and deeds?
January 21st, 2012 § § permalink
On this Sunday Christ proclaims that we have to repent to enter the Kingdom of God.
And from the other side the Sunday scripture readings are talking about radical discipleship. And by radical discipleship I mean something much more than just following Jesus in a pedestrian sort of way. I mean something much more than only talking about Christ; more doing his holy will.
All of us experience the call of Christ to be his disciples; if we didn’t then not one of us would be here in this Church today. For many of us this call of Christ was mediated through our families and teachers; we were brought up in a believing family and absorbed the faith along with our mother’s milk.
The Eucharist is like the “big charging” of “our inner battery” of Christian life. Here and now we have the explanation of the word of God and we have the tangible food for our spirit – the Holy Communion.

One Main Point
A new world (the Kingdom of God) has arrived. That new world comes in the person of Jesus. We are asked to respond by changing our way of life, and to follow Him.

We start once again the Ordinary Time which is the special period when we receive teaching concerning ourselves, because Ordinary Time is our time in the whole History of Salvation. Today we have a call like Andrew and the other disciple, John. We need to recognize and to realize this call as the voice of God who speaks directly to us. We have to go and make disciples for God, make our relatives and friends the company of Jesus Christ – this is the simple task of the Church as a community of believers.
The Eucharist, which we now celebrate is our help: from one side there is the explanation of the word of God and from the other the real meal to help us to do the will of God in our own lives.

So as we come to the end of Ordinary Time and the end of the Church Year, we can ask God to form us ever more in His own image. May we find ways to love one another not because we are afraid of hell but because we want to love the Lord. Thanks to this we are the people of faith. The faith needs our deeds of charity to be the real consequence of our personal belief in Christ Jesus.
The Eucharist is the special place where we have the chance to experience our faith. We stand before Jesus Christ who is our King and we have charity’s examination before our final judgment to repair our life once again. We can change our life just under the influence of this Eucharist, which is our great Thanksgiving to God for the opportunity of our salvation.

When we come to the end of the Ordinary Time we are in the most important things of our faith. We think and discuss of our salvation – what it means for us and how to catch it. Today we have the lesson about our courage in faith. We need to remember that everything in our life depend on us, first of all our own salvation. If we will not have the desire of salvation we will loose it. Therefore we need some courage or some risk to invest in our eternal future.
The Eucharist is some kind of risk which we invest in the eternal future. Coming to Mass, especially when it is not convenient, requires a risk, a risk that must be made in order to increase our own spiritual productivity which is productive of good fruit in the lives of those around us – our relatives and friends.

Our spiritual life in Christ is like the wedding party which is simply for us the Eucharist. We have the choice to be on it or not, this is our opportunity. For to be on it we need first of all the desire to meet the Son of God – the bridegroom. The rest things are very easy, we wear some good clothes, we start the engine of our car and we ride to the Church on time. Today Jesus tells us to be wise virgin, to be ready Christian, to be prepared for theKingdomofGod. We don’t need super intelligence for it; we need only the simply choice to seek Jesus by our good deeds.
