Today we celebrate the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time. The regular days which we spend for any matters, sometimes more important sometimes not, are very special for our spiritual lives because they direct us to the heaven that’s mean to close relationship with God – which is love by capital L.
The Eucharist which we now celebrate is the time for the choosing the right path for our life. According to Jesus from today’s Gospel we have to choose the narrow gate – that’s mean the difficult one, not easy, though the today’s world suggests us different. We have to choose and find our own way to salvation and every time double check that we are on that good way. We have to strive to enter this narrow gate to eternal life because it is open for us here and now in this Church.

„Strive to enter through the narrow gate.”

- MY MISSION: When I am the disciple of Christ and the active member of his Church I realize this and participate in all matters which concern Him. The Ordinary Time Liturgy of the Holy Mass is not my challenge it is my privilege and way to salvation also the proof of my real membership.
- If evil takes possession of someone, that person, in turn, may spread evil to everybody around him. If we are in contact with such people we must try and help them and show them that God cares for them. Pray hard to help bring prayer back to them so that they may once more see God in themselves and then see Him in others. (Mother Teresa – A Simple Path)
Welcome Our Visitors
We welcome all our visitors who are present with us for worship this Sunday! Please introduce yourself to the Pastor after Mass. Please write your names in the guest book located in the vestibule of the church. Please remember that you are always welcome to join us in worship at Holy Cross Church.
One Main Point
We gain eternal salvation by being faithful disciples, by dying to ourselves and following Jesus to Jerusalem.
Reflections
- To strive to enter through a narrow gate, what changes do I need to make in my life that I have been putting off?
- In what way am I called to become last?
