Today we celebrate the 2nd Sunday of Lent. We are preparing during the Lenten season to experience the glory of Easter morning in our own lives.
Lent is for us the privileged season of change, transformation, or transfiguration. Our complacent and guilty faces have to be changed into faces of joy, love and service.
Today Jesus shows us the way, the spiritual journey. He saw suffering and death waiting for him and so his face and heart were sad. But then the Father made Jesus’ face radiant for he would find life and resurrection, and his face became radiant with joy and glory. If we follow Jesus and let him transform us our face will become radiant too.

- We start the Lent. In that season we learn more about the power of fasting, praying and almsgiving. These are three great works of charity which can help us to prepare ourselves for Resurrection of our Lord and our own resurrection.
- The annual meeting of the members of Holy Cross parish will be conducted Sunday, March 8, 2026, right after 10:00AM Mass.
The business of an annual meeting of the Parish shall be to receive reports of the Parish Committee, Committees and Pastor; regulate and confirm the salary of the Pastor and the salaries and wages of its employees, elect Parish Committee members and members of the Parish Tribunal (which election may be conducted prior to the annual meeting); adopt resolutions and make enactments necessary for the welfare and development of the Parish. No resolution or enactment shall be adopted or made which shall be in conflict with the Constitution and Laws of this Church.

God affirms Jesus.
Honor is extremely important in the Jewish culture, and Jesus is going to die a most dishonorable death. This affirmation, and especially the resurrection, ultimately restore the honor of Jesus.
