Today we celebrate the 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The Ordinary Time is for us the simple guidance of the daily moments of our lives.
This Sunday gives us the lesson of Jesus on the very important matters from the ten commandments. Some people think that our Master wants us to be more overwhelmed by the law, because He made wide range of it. But Jesus wants us to be as He is – free from sins and holy son of God. He shows us the way how to overcome the sin and be perfect and our Heavenly Father is perfect.
Today we are going to Church for the Eucharist to meet our Master Jesus Christ in his body and spirit. The Holy Mass is the first step of our holiness and perfection.

“Go first to be reconciled with your brother.”

Then naturall we want to take care of all og them. (Mother Teresa – A simple path.)

One Main Point
Jesus brings God’s law to perfection. When Jesus uses four points here or eight points in the beatitudes, he is not setting specific rules, but uses these points as poetic and vivid ways to express a central message. The central message here is that Jesus brings the Old Testament law to perfection.
Reflections
- Imagine each of the four examples Jesus uses. For example, how hateful would a murderer be, and what changes does Jesus desire?
- Take any law, such as going to Church on Sunday. What would be perfect and imperfect ways of doing it? Which way do I follow?
- God’s supreme law is love. What is perfect love in my life now?
