We are in the special time of the Church in Easter Season. In this time we commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We can find Jesus in each Eucharist, like the disciples who were traveling to the Emmaus from today’s Gospel. This Eucharist was very special; it was the Eucharist on the way. Today this kind of the Eucharist will never be done, because we are accustomed to do this celebration only in the church building and in the special form like the traditional or contemporary Mass.
But Jesus as usual in his life overcame these formal obstacles and showed us the real goal of the Eucharist – the real meeting with Him, who is resurrected. And this event is able to change our life and head us to the community of the Church.
