Today we celebrate the 4th Sunday of Easter – we call it the Good Shepherd Sunday. Why? Because in today’s Gospel Jesus reveals us that He is the Leader of all his disciples – all Christians.
He is Shepherd’s voice – the word of God made flesh – which draw us closer to God. Today is the day when we pray for all people in the Church who imitate Christ in the service of leading. We pray first of all for all clergy: the bishops, priests and deacons and for lay people who are leading the parishes in every level of the Parish Committee. The prayer is the big help for that person, therefore we do this especially on this Sunday.
The Eucharist is the big prayer and the big offering where the mediator between us and God is the high advocate, Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd. We have the good connection by him with God, but we have to make use of this prayer often.

- “The sheep follow him, because they recognize his voice.”

One Main Point
Jesus is the sheepgate. Every family then had a flock of sheep, but extended families keep their flocks together in one pen. A gatekeeper must know everyone in the extended family. The good shepherd leads the flock in and out of this gate.
Reflection
Imagine the state of the pen with Jesus as the sheepgate and his loving, faithful disciples as the good shepherds. What role do I play in the “pen” that is the community?
DONATIONS
Thank you for wanting to send a donation. We always remember our patrons that donate in our weekly prayer. May God bless you. – Rev. Andrzej Bieganowski
