– Ascension of the Lord

The Solemnity of Ascension of the Lord is for us the direction for our own lives, that we will be in the future in heaven with God the Father. But we have the task to do during our earthly lives. To be the disciples of Christ who evangelize the other people especially non-Christians. To be the disciples of Christ who make the commandment of love alive.

The Mass is the remembrance of that last meeting with Christ when He sent disciples to go forward and teach the other people about the Kingdom of God. Even The Word Mass has the root in the Latin word mitto –ere – that’s mean send somebody, give someone the mission. Today We have the same task: go and proclaim the Good News in our work, in our neighborhood and in our surroundings.  But we have to proclaim the good news of Jesus not the other news.
