18th Sunday in Ordinary Time

In this modern time of our lives we find the real meaning of our efforts for the Kingdom of God when we participate in each Sunday Eucharist.

This Sunday gives us the example of our help for God in His salvation of the other people. The Lord doesn’t need our “big help”; He needs only our lunch box, as it was defined in the Matthew Gospel: the five loaves and two fish. This is enough for someone for the lunch only.

The Eucharist is like this lunch which we bring to God and ask him to multiply it for the hungry crowd. Some times we don’t see the huge effect of this holy lunch because we are looking for our own power not for divine forces.
