13th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today we celebrate the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time. In this time we are touched by Jesus and his teachings. Today’s Gospel tells us about people in tragic situations: an account of a synagogue official Jairus, desperate because of the illness and death of his little daughter and the lady with the hemorrhage.

We are also in similar situation, and we ask: Why does God permit people to suffer such horrible things? Ultimately, we have only one answer – to come to Jesus Redeemer and ask him of healing not only physical body but also spiritual side.

In the Holy Mass we really come to Jesus. He can touch us and rise us up if we only will be here. The offering of the Eucharist is the special place where we find the great love of God to us by the gift of life and death of his Son. And we follow his footsteps in our private lives by showing our love to others and touch them by our good deeds and prayers.
