4th SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

Today we celebrate the 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The topic of today’s Gospel is that we have to proclaim the Good News of Salvation more in the fullness of the truth than in the popular ideas, which people like to hear today. The example of Christ from the Gospel shows us that we have to be very responsible to the truth of the Salvation when we talk to our relatives, friends or neighbors.

The rejection of Jesus by his own citizens is very meaningful. At the beginning they welcome Him eagerly, after his speech in the Synagogue and the truth that the Salvation belongs to all people not only to them they reject Him.

The Eucharist is for all people; everyone has equal access to God and His Salvation.

Why then do we have a small group of people at the Mass in our Church? Because some people doesn’t know about it, or look at our example and our teaching to see that we don’t have anything good for them. Truth is the remedy for that. We have to proclaim the whole truth of the Gospel even if it is not so much popular but with our own strong believe and conviction.
