4th SUNDAY OF LENT

Today we celebrate the 4th Sunday of Lent. This time of joyful preparation for the feast of Easter focuses our eyes on the spirit of repentance. We all are the sinners, maybe sometimes we look nicer from outside, than others, but in the examination of our conscience we can find our real sins. We need to stand in humility before ourselves and says to God: “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son”.

But these words have to be first of all accepted by ourselves. And be the first sign of our conversion toward God.

The Eucharist is the time when we stand before our God the Father and say that we are sinners. We find in that meeting the echo of the parable of the prodigal son – and we see the image of the both sons in our own manners. We have only to find the short way to our Father and immediately be with Him in His house.

“Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.”
