29th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today we celebrate the 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Today’s Gospel shows us the way how to dare for hope. Sometimes in our lives we have the problems which are not to be solved by ourselves. At this time we have to call on God: “Give us the faith that we can understand your ways in our lives”. We have to pray persistently, not cease to do it. We have to pray day and night as the widow from today’s Gospel asks for the help to the judge. And believe in God that He alone can solve our problems. We have to bother God by our prayers.

The Eucharist is that kind of prayer when we pray to God persistently Sunday by Sunday. We ask him to be with us, to be our God and our Savior, to resolve our daily problems these big and these small. During the Holy Mass we are not alone we are in community of believers who carry “our arms of prayer” when there are so weak.

„God will “secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night.”
