The Tomb – 5th SUNDAY in LENT

The Lazarus Tomb

Today we celebrate the 5th Sunday in Lent. This Sunday says us about our death and our resurrection.

How can some Christians answer in surveys that they don’t believe in the resurrection? The resurrection is central for a believer. Today’s liturgy is a strong statement of our faith in the resurrection, not only of that of Jesus but also our own.

Today we also cover the crosses in the church to take it out of our physical eyes and to find it in our hearts. To open our spiritual eyes on Jesus Passion, to follow Him during the way of the cross to the top of resurrection.

Let the Holy Eucharist be the food of that risen life in us.
