33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today we celebrate the thirty third Sunday in Ordinary Time, this is the next to last Sunday of the Liturgical Year 2020.

We have the lesson about our encouragement in faith. We need to remember that everything in our life depend on us, first of all our own salvation. It is God’s given talent for us but the grow of it – is our own responsibilities. If we will not have the desire of salvation we will loose it. Therefore we need some courage or some risk to invest in our eternal future.

The Eucharist is some kind of risk which take to invest in the eternal future. Coming to Mass, especially when it is not convenient. It requires a risk, a risk that must be made in order to increase our own spiritual growth.

„Master, you gave me five talents. See, I have made five more.”

Be proactive to prepare for the unexpected coming of the Son of Man. Do not be lazy or fearful.

Reflections

  1. What is the talent that the Lord gives me?
  2. Am I actively investing that talent?
  3. If this moment were the judgment day, what would the Lord say to me?
  4. How do I plan to invest my talent in the future?
