4th SUNDAY OF EASTER; Mother’s Day

Today we celebrate the 4th Sunday of Easter – the Good Shepherd Sunday. Today is first of all the Mother’s Day. We thank our mothers, pray for them, and honor them by celebrating Mother’s Day, offering our mothers on the altar of God.

In today’s Gospel Jesus reveals us that He is the Lord, Son of God and the Leader of all disciples – Christians. Today is the day when we pray for all people in the Church who imitate Christ in the service of leading. We pray first of all for all clergy: the bishops, priests and deacons and for lay people who are leading the parishes in every level of the Parish Committee officer. We also pray for the people who has the vocation to be the pastors in our Church.
