25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today we celebrate the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time. When we come to the church every Sunday, we find ourselves in the Kingdom of Heaven and we praise God for the great privilege to be his sons and daughters. The honor to be the sons of God is the simple continuation of our discipleship for Christ. We believe in him; therefore, we follow Him in our private lives, and we can be accepted by God as the good and prudent stewards and more as good sons of God. It is only one requirement to deal with God fair, as a good manager does it.

The Eucharist is the good dealing with God. We come as sinners and beg for redemption in the sacrament of the penance at the beginning of the Mass. We hear the voice of God and his rules in the Liturgy of the Word. We go in the holy action in the Liturgy of the Eucharist and reunite with our Lord in Holy Communion. At the end we accept the deal with God and go further to make realization of it in our daily lives by our good and bold actions.

„Prepare a full account of your stewardship.”

One Main Point

Use our possessions wisely (serving the poor) so that when it runs out and when we are summoned to God in the final day, we will be received into God’s house.

Reflections

1 What are in my possessions? How do I manage them? When God summons me, what can I say?
2 When my possessions run out, what is left? Will the Lord receive me?
