5th SUNDAY in LENT

Today we celebrate the 5th Sunday of Lent. This Sunday says us about our resurrection from the sins. We look on the Lazarus who was raise up from the dead by Jesus and with the assistance of the community of the people. In God’s love Christ gives us the sacraments to lift us up to everlasting life; this can only happened with the assistance of the Church as a community of believers. First of all the sacrament, which lead us to Kingdom of God is the baptism. We see that the sin is for us the dead, but by our obedience to Jesus we can return to life, and this is the everlasting life.

The Eucharist is the same meeting with Jesus as Lazarus – the dead person took place 2000 years ago. We are in the same position as Lazarus, we are dead from our sins, and we are saved from sins after that meeting.

“The dead man came out, tied hand and foot”
