2nd SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

callToday we celebrate the second Sunday in Ordinary Time. We are at the beginning of the Ordinary Time which is the special period of History of Salvation for us because it is concerning ourselves in that History. Today we have a call to be with Christ and follow Him like Andrew and the other disciple, John and after them Peter. We need to recognize and to realize this call today as the voice of God who speaks directly to us. We have to go and make disciples for God, make our relatives and friends the company of Jesus Christ – this is the simple task of the Church as a community of believers.

The Eucharist, which we now celebrate is our meeting with Resurrected Jesus: from one side there is the explanation of the word of God and from the other the real meal to help us to do the will of God in our own lives.
