3rd SUNDAY OF ADVENT – Joy

advent-wreath-3-candles-5Today we celebrate the 3rd Sunday of Advent. This Sunday we call rejoice Sunday, because we are very close to the meeting with Jesus in the feast of Christmas, for that reason we use the pink color for the liturgy, we light the pink candle in the Advent Wreath. We fill the season of Christmas in our surroundings very well: in the stores, in the work, even in our private homes. But we have to prepare ourselves on the coming of Jesus in our lives especially internal; not only our outside but especially our whole inside. In the deepest of our heart we ask ourselves: What we should do?

The Eucharist is the strait way to prepare ourselves for the coming of Jesus. During the Eucharist we repent and confess our sins, we hear the Word of God which give us the answer for our questions, we celebrate the Liturgy of the Holy Communion which is the food for our own and after this we start our mission to be the messengers as St. John the Baptist of the Good News to our neighbors in our private lives.
