Christmas Eve

christmasEveToday we celebrate the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord – the Christmas Eve liturgy the Shepherd’s Mass– in Polish Wigilia Świąt Bożego Narodzenia.

During four weeks of Advent we have been waiting and praying for the coming of Emmanuel – God is with us. And Christmas is finally here.

Jesus, in Hebrew – Jeshuah – “Jahweh is saving” is coming to us as a baby, the small human being, to be with us and to share our earthly lives, our pain and sufferings.

Christmas is present – here and now, in our Family, in our Church and in our hearts.

In this Holy Mass which we now celebrate, we are in the mystery of God the Son, who is two times born within us: Jesus will be born in the Liturgy of the Word as the everlasting Word of God and He will be born in the Liturgy of the Eucharist as a bread of the life and as a blood of our salvation. These two comings of our Lord we celebrate in each Holy Mass and especially today. We contemplate his eternal dwelling with us here on earth, in the USA and in the city of Baltimore, MD.

I want to wish you and your loved ones:

May the presence of Emmanuel

fill our lives with abundant joy and peace.

Wishing you peaceful, warm and family oriented feast of Christmas

And good health and dreams come true in New Year 2016

        Fr. Andrzej Bieganowski and Family
