23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time

laborday2Today we celebrate the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time and Labor Day tomorrow.

This time we learn more about our discipleship for Jesus. We have to be as the athlete who in the Olympic Games has to fight for the rewards. The transposition of our attitude on that comparison is very meaningful: we are the people who need to fight so that we can to win our whole life. We have to be sometimes against the people whom we loved to find the best at the end for our spiritual life. As an athlete we have to have only one point as a goal in our future – the salvation with Jesus Christ /then we will be OK with everyone and everything around us.

The Eucharist is the time when we realize that we can sacrifice everything for Jesus Christ to be his disciples. From the other side we must assume that, as the needs arise, God gives to us whatever strength we will need when the time comes to do what needs to be done.
