6th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today we celebrate the 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time.

The Readings from the Ordinary Time lead us to understand the real price of our faith. We are thinking that our efforts are great, but when we look at the first age of the Church, 2000 years ago; we realize that they really struggle for the faith in Jesus Christ. The beatitudes by St. Luke are the focus on the faith which is the very important matter on the world. We hear from Jesus that we will be blessed when we are in the worse part of the society when for the sake of Jesus we are there. We can spend a lot of money and a lot of our forces for the name of Jesus and after that we will have the reward in the heavenly Bank.

The Eucharist is like the viewing of our heavenly account: we see the amount which we can spend for others, we also see the deficit of our good deeds. The beatitudes are the essence of our faith but also the test of it.

  • Evangelization is in no small part about accessibility. Make your parish accessible; make the extra effort. Like the young Samuel, let your first priority be a basic one: Open the temple doors.
  • The Incarnation tells us the most important truth about ourselves: we are destined for divinization. The church fathers never tired of repeating this phrase as a sort of summary of Christian belief: God became human so that humans might become God. (Robert Barron – Catholicism)
  •  My Warmly Thank You to all of the people who remember of me and my family by the presents and the donations. Be sure that you are in my prayers before the Alter.
