7th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today we celebrate the 7th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The most important thing in our faith is to be a good friend, or maybe more to be the good brother or sister of all people.

From the other hand we see many conflicts on the world. We see how many people perish by the hatred. And we have the question, what we can do for that reason? In today’s gospel we see that “enemies” for Jesus means those who hate the disciples, not those that the disciples hate. We as the followers of Christ should not have enemies at all. We cannot control how others treat us, we can only control our attitude to them.

The Eucharist is the special place where we learn how to love our enemies as God loves all people on the world. Here and now we get the example of Jesus who gave his life for the ransom of others especially his enemies.

  • Evangelization is in no small part about accessibility. Make your parish accessible; make the extra effort. Like the young Samuel, let your first priority be a basic one: Open the temple doors.
  • We are always with God, since God is the very ground of our being, closer to us than we are to ourselves. We could not exist even for a moment without the loving press of God. And God gives all that he has to us. His whole being is for giving. (Robert Barron – Catholicism)
  • My Warmly Thank You to all of you who remember of my family by the presents and the donations. Be sure that you are in my prayers.
