Ascension of the Lord & Memorial Day

Today we celebrate the 7th Sunday of  Easter and the Feast of Ascension of the Lord. And tomorrow the Memorial Day.

The Solemnity of Ascension of the Lord is for us the direction up for our own lives, that we will be in the future in heaven with God the Father. But we have the task to do during our earthly lives. To be the disciples of Christ who evangelize with joy the other people especially non-Christians. To be the disciples of Christ who make the commandment of love alive around us.

The Holy Mass is the remembrance of that last meeting with Christ when He sent his disciples to go forward and teach the other people about the Kingdom of God and baptize them in the name of Holy Trinity.

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations.”

  • O Jesus, eternal Truth, strengthen my feeble forces; You can do all things, Lord. I know that without you all my efforts are in vain. O Jesus, do not hide from me , for I cannot live without You.
