THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD 6th SUNDAY OF EASTER

Another Paraclete

Each Sunday in Easter time, we celebrate the gifts we have received in Baptism and Confirmation. We rejoice that the Spirit is our Advocate, who continues to support us in the difficulties of life.

Today’s gospel directs our thoughts on the relationship with Jesus by the Holy Spirit who is our Paraclete – the Advocate or the Comforter. He is with us always especially when we are in the difficult time of our life. What we need is to follow the words of Jesus in our private lives and after this we will be in the communion with God the Father and with his son Jesus Christ.

The Eucharist is the time when we hear the words of Jesus and we start follow it. It is also the situation when we love each other and we realize by this fact our love to God.

“I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Paraclete.”
