16th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Today we celebrate the 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Today we will hear about the rules of the Kingdom of God. This rules are little different as our own human rules. It gives us the chances to change and to be good to the end of the time. The people who live in the world are different, they are good and bad. But they live close together to the last day and after this date will be the judgement and separation. Until this time we have the opportunity to practice love as the main power of the Kingdom and we have the choices to choose to be good or bad and this is our privilege.

The Eucharist is the special place where we make the best choice, to be with God the Father, to serve as Jesus did and to go and proclaim the good News to every nation.

“His enemy came and sowed weeds all through the wheat..”

Announcements

  • Thank you to everyone who helped with the Polish Summer Food Sale at Holy Cross.
  • As the members of our Church we are responsible for our future and we will pray and look for new active members of our Community of Holy Cross in Baltimore, MD.
  • Do you have anyone of any reason (for example: someone in Hospital) or life event you would like to pray for – Please ask and see Fr. Andrew.
  • MY MISSION: When I am the disciple of Christ and the member of his Church I realize this and participate in all matters which concern Him. The Sunday’s Masses are not my challenge but my privilege and my eternal hope.
  • In Holy Communion, my union with Jesus is so intimate and incomprehensible that even if I wanted to describe it in writing I could not do so, because I lack the words..(See Diary #735).

Reflections

  1. Contemplate your daily life. Like the mustard seeds that grow ceaselessly, what effort have you put in to grow spiritually under the grace of God? Is your faith growing stronger day after day? What should you do to encourage it along?
