The SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY

Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity; popular we say Trinity Sunday. This Sunday is the time to contemplate the Mystery of our Faith which is the belief in one God in the three different persons. We believe in God the Father Creator of the whole world; we believe in God the Son who entered into our history as a man, and we believe in God the Holy Spirit who is keeping us in His heavenly care and is leading us to the full salvation in the Kingdom of God in heaven.

To be the real Christians we have to believe in the Trinity, and we have to immerse into God’s Mystery to understand as far as we can this truth / and under this influence pray to God.

The Eucharist which we now celebrate is the special service to honor the Trinity as St. Thomas a Becket did first time in 12th century. We pray to God the Father by the mediation of Jesus Christ in the influence of the Holy Spirit. We call God – the inconceivable Trinity to make the community of love between us and God.

“Glory to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”

God’s love for the world is so great that he sent his son, Jesus, to save us. Whoever believes in Jesus will have the eternal life.

Reflections

  1. John insisted on the intimate relationship between faith and love. Faith is a loving union with Jesus. Is my faith a “loving faith?” Is my faith closely tied to the standards and principles?
  2. What experiences in my life have helped me see God’s love for me?
  3. How does Jesus’ teaching lead me close to God?
  4. Through what activities do I nourish my faith?
