13th Sunday in ordinary Time

Follow Me!

Today we celebrate the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time. In the Ordinary Time we realize our discipleship to Jesus Christ. He leads us to the Kingdom of God and our whole life is the way to the gates of that Kingdom. The paradise –is the place the best for us because we were created for that place, and we really belong to it.

When we will respond to the call of Jesus and choose the way behind him, we will be saved, and we will be found ourselves in the Kingdom of God where we are really independent.

Every Eucharist gives us the right direction to be in the place where we will be happy. We need only to listen to the voice of God in the Liturgy of the Word and to eat the meal for that way, which is the Holy Communion. When we will practice the love of our neighbors in our private lives, we will be sure that we are on the right way to salvation.

„The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few.”

In modern life our senses are so constantly bombarded with stimulation from every side that unless we developed a kind of protective insensibility, we would go crazy trying to respond to all the advertisements at the same time! (Thomas Merton – No Man is an Island)

Welcome Our Visitors

One Main Point

To be a follower of Jesus, the priority is always the kingdom of God. It supersedes a comfortable life and family relationships without hesitation or regret.

Reflections

  1. What is my reaction when I feel unwelcome in a group, a society or a new land? How do I tolerate diversity? Feel the anger of James and John but listen to the words and the deed from Jesus.
  2. Imagine the journey of Jesus from Galilee to Jerusalem as the journey of my life. Do I have a destination? What is it? What is my priority in life? How do I follow the way?
